Use:
The material Dampl proof course (DPC ) can be used for both vertical and horizontal applications to limit the inward and horizontal movement of water in structural walls.
DPC is not suitable for applications that apply high shear stress to DPC, such as restrained walls or high flexibility stresses, or independent walls and parapets.
It should not be used to restrict downward movement of water flow, such as water flow above lintels or within tunnel walls.
Installation Guidelines:
-For external walls, DPC should be laid 150mm above adjacent surfaces and connected to the DPM in the solid floor. DPC should be applied on a new mortar layer, completely free of protrusions that may puncture the material or hinder the DPC from being laid flat. When connecting two DPCs, they should overlap each other by at least 100mm.
-For internal walls, DPC should be installed at the bottom of the load-bearing wall and connected to any adjacent DPM. When two DPCs are connected, the width of the DPC should be at least equal to the width of the partition wall it is applied to, and the overlap should be at least 100mm.
